We leave in 15 minutes so I have to bring my stuff down the 3 flights of stairs! The ones I run up and down a million times a day! I am running slower these days! The hot tub better be working ! They have a bathtub here that I think two people could fit in!

Rutgers needs me!!!
Sorry to hear that they lost. No Rose bowl this year. We are about to leave the Chalet for some other place. Once again, it is raining. I have been shopping - I hope you like what I am bringing home for you. Of course, everything cost soo much. Please, have some eggs in the house. And soft bread. and good coffee. And LIGHTBULBS.
Mom got the Our Chalet Challenge Plaque. She is so happy about that - special recognition at dinner and all. She has been very happy, and chatting with women from all over the world. Yada yada yada. We are having a great time - this trip has been very special, and I am glad for this opportunity.

Carol appeared and wanted to check on the Rutgers Game today, so I went to check....only to find they haven't even begun to play yet! It is very weird to think of you so far behind in your day, here it is time for us to get ready for bed and you are in the middle of the afternoon!

Last Day At The Chalet
The day has arrived, and we leave here tommorow... I don't know if we will have internet again so check back later on Sunday or Monday.
Today we went to go to the waterfalls and gondala ride, but a little miscommunication with the taxi driver lead our group to be delivered to the wrong place!! It all turned out well. We did not go to the waterfalls after all, but heck I've been to Niargra Falls ! what could compete with that!
We did go on a gondala ride up, up, up, up, up, up, up, the mountain! I have never been on a gondala this long. It took 3 stations to get us up there! ($20.00 bucks also!) The mountains were great! The skys were the bluest ever since we have been here. After we came down, down, down.... some people went back to the chalet and we went on another gondala ride to Adelboden

Carol Says.....
What!!! No messages? I am thinking of you, and love to hear SOMETHING!! Today was Chalet day. Grandma, Bev, and I stayed home while the rest of the gang went on yet another bus trip and tour. We spent the day playing the Chalet Quest. Don't be jealous, we will relive it all with you when we come home. The international WAGGS peolple think we are very special though. They are right!! I am still in awe of the mountains. Today was clear, and somehow mountains appeared that I swear were not there before. Congratulations Eric - assistant patrol leader is great! How are you feeling, Katrina? I am sorry I am not there to take care of you. Kevin, where are you?? Love you Van, A&F!!!. Do the cats look for me? Cats are everywhere here, it is odd. They seem to be hired to patrol the yards for random rodents. I love you all, see you soon, Mom P.S. GO RUTGERS RU ready for some football?

Todays update
We decided not to go on the trip today, stay at the chalet this morning, do some luandry, take showers, and snoop around! Everyone else went on the trip, so there is noone here but us and two staff members who are very hard to find! Today the weather is relly good...cold but clear and blue. I hope to get some good pictures but it just won,t be the same. This morning I woke up about 6am and saw out the window stars and the moon, so I jumped up and went out and sat on a rock up in a small clearing and waited for the sun to come up. It was really beautiful and quiet. I took some pictures but they might not be so great. We will just have to wait and see. I can't download pictures to these computers. They are blocked. I bet if Kris or Kevin were here they would get past that!

My Day in Zurich - Bev
Well, as Carol says it was off to Zurich today! We walked with the tour for about 10 mins. and then decided the tour guide was moving along too fast for us, and we could not hear what she was saying, so as usual, we were renegades and said we were not going! So we shopped by ourselves with one other adult who also decided not to go! Tommorow the group is going on another trip by bus to a lake for a boat ride the a tour of another castle, and trot around town shopping. Carol and I have said that we would like to stay back and not go, Karen is deciding. If she goes, we will probaly join her. Let you all know tommorow. I would like some down time about now! Zurich was nice I guess, if they didn't speak german here you could belive you were in NY city! All the stores are the same as in NYC only 3 times as much - Levi jeans - $179.00!
My IPOD was $329 francs - about $300 dollars USA ! Hot coco was $4.50!
Carol had to get off because the computer was shutting down for maintance! She now went to bed so she wants to know how Katrina is and who took her to the hospital??

News from the klutzy one!!!
Hello! Well, today was Zurich. What an expensive place, not that everywhere else isn't! The walking tour was going to be the end of Grandma, so we opted out and stolled a bit on our own. Oh darn, missed some more history. Busy city, watch out for the trams! I tried to take Grandma to the bathroom ( water closet, or WC) but once again, it was an experience. First we had to pay aboutr a dollar, then walk through a turnstyle. Imagine our surprise when we realized that we were in "La Pisserie". Yes, we were now in a room full of urinals, and men!!! You will have to ask her the rest of the story. Oooops, gotta go . Be back soon

Carol again!
Hello! So sorry to hear that poor Katrina is sick. You can use my grandma blanket that I left in the living room to wrap up in. That will help. Today was only four degrees when we woke up (C). I would have loved to buy a warm sweatshirt, but alas, NONE were available in my size! I can't wait to tell you about the cars and roads here. The cars are so tiny, and the roads are maybe eight feet wide. It is exciting when two meet from opposite directions. Yesterday one hit me trying to squeeze by - one more bruise for me, nothing much. The country really does look like the picture books. Little villages with brown houses all facing the same direction and growing tons of flowers in window boxes! The mountain goes straight up one side, straight down the other. So today I got on the injured list by falling into an electric fence. Shocking!!! The good news is that Grandma is having a great time and has not been bumped , brused, or shocked!! Bererly and I are keeping up with her just fine. Our tour leader has a long train ride to Zurich planned for tommorow(and back) to see some museums. I hope that you are anxious for some cow bells, because that seems to be what we are expected to thrill everyoune in the states with. They don't seem to aware that we have cows in America!! Todays adventures from Bev
Well, today was certainly an experience! We hiked to the woodcrafters house - Not Karen, she took a taxi) It rained all the way. The hike wasn't too bad just wet! Then we had soup and hot chocolate at the house next door to the woodcrafter - what a racket! but real good! (finally!)
Next it wasn't raining, so a bunch of us decided to hike to the town of Adleboden - the guide said it was just up that hill and around the corner a ways....... never believe a guide - or anyone in Europe...... Karen decided to walk with us this time. Many miles and hills later we finally found the town! Oh did I tell you it began to rain alot? I mean alot! Wet and tired, we again had coffee, tea or hot chocolate, shoppped for 15 mintutes then took a taxi back to our chalet for wine and cheese!
I came down to the computer room to send this while everyone continued to drink! Dinner is in 10 mins.
Tommorow, we are taking the train to Zurich for the day and will return around 9:30pm.I hope it stops raining.
Oh by the way, there was snow on the mountain tops today!!!

News from Bev
Today we traveled to OUR CHALET!!! We left our Chateau at 9:30 this morning, took a taxi to the train station, took two trian, one bus and an up mountian hike to get here. It took us till 3;30.
It rained most of the day and they forcast snow for tommorow. We are supposed to hike to the woodcarvers hut in the mountians, but we have convinced several people to take a taxi. We are walkin alot but taking it slow.
Yesterday we tour a real old castle and explored the town of Montreux. Its been fun!
The weather the last few days was great- sunny and warm. I hope that it comes back.
he veiws are incredible even with the fog and clouds today.
I willl try and download pitcures another time.
We have met several other girl scout adults and grandma is very happy!
I did expect better food, and I have not found a pastry shop yet that sells anything worth buying. people here say there is a good one in town ...I find out tommorow!!

Hello Eric, Katrina, Kevin, and George! All is wonderful here, but I am sooo tired. We are having a great time, and Switzerland is beautiful. The food stinks, however, so I am getting fat filling up on chocolate and ice cream. Grandma says Hello! She is having a very good time, and we are looking after her. No problems! Please leave me a note because I would love to hear from you and know that all is well there. I love you, and miss you, and am looking forward to seeing you soon. The Big Day!!
It's finally Saturday and I am packed and ready to go! I have packed and repacked several times eliminating stuff each time. We were told to pack lightly in a small suitcase. We will be moving several times and traveling by train alot, so a large heavy suitcase would be hard to handle.
We are leaving at 5:50 pm tonight and arriving at 8:00am Sunday morning in Geneva. Then we will be picked up by a tour guide and shown Geneva all day! It will be a long day!
I don't think anyone will have a hard time sleeping that night.
I don't know what we are doing on Monday....I guess you will find out next blog!

Our Chalet Trip - 2007
Well, in six more days we shall be leaving for Switzerland!! This time next week, Bev, Carol, Karen and 16 other Girl Scouts will be descending on Geneva!! The city won't know what hit!
This is my first ever try at blogging so you will have to forgive me if I mess up. We will try and send a message when we can get to a computer and have time. Maybe I will even figure out how to send photos!!
